An Inverurie butcher will be celebrating National Butchers’ Week by offering customers a taste of his award-winning pies.
Aberdeenshire butcher John Davidson, who was named Scottish Butcher of the Year, will be sharing the pork pies called Drunken Pig, Wild Pig and Stinking Pig.
National Butchers’ Week takes place between 16-21 March in a bid to entice consumers back to the butcher.
The objective of the week is to encourage consumers to consider the local butcher as their first port of call for meat purchases.
It coincides with a resurgence of interest in high street butchers as consumers look to buy cheaper cuts.
